Finances & Dental Insurance

Many patients tell us they have postponed needed dental care because of concerns about the cost. We understand that and will work with you to prevent this from being an obstacle to treatment.

First, we believe it is important for you to know your anticipated expenses before we begin treatment. For this reason, we start new patients with a comprehensive examination to determine their total dental needs and desires.

Second, we need a mutual plan. No one would begin to build a house without a blueprint. Imagine the surprise (and disappointment) to everyone when the owner expected a colonial and the carpenter built a ranch! Patients often tell us they are pleasantly surprised that we take time (at a complimentary consultation appointment) to fully plan their dental care and share that information with them.

Third, we need a mutual timetable. Almost always, it is most economical to attend to your dental needs as quickly as possible. However, because of insurance or other reasons some patients desire to spread their dental treatment over time. We will provide guidance in the pace of treatment we believe would be of greatest value to you. If you desire to spread your treatment over a longer period of time, we need to know your intentions to avoid unnecessary complications and unexpected expense.

For these reasons, we believe it is best to openly discuss finances before starting dental treatment. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. For qualified individuals, we can assist securing financing through several banks.

Dental Insurance

As a courtesy to our patients we will prepare and electronically transmit your dental insurance claims for you. In addition, we provide a tracking system that will make sure your insurance claims are paid and that you receive the maximum benefit to which you are entitled. Naturally, there is no charge for these services.

Please remember, no insurance program pays for everything. Ultimately, your benefits are determined by the amount your employer paid to the insurance company. The higher your employer’s premium, the higher your benefits will be.

We know dental insurance is a complex subject and you may have questions. Our Office Manager is very knowledgeable and will be happy to assist you in any way possible.
